Our Story, Our Values

Our beginnings go back to 2007 when Out of NowHere (Here and Now) was created by Frederic Roman-Hauduroy, former attache of the French Embassy in Ulaanbaatar (2001), Mr. Demedbal Zandraa and his wife Ms. Soyolmaa Jigjdsuren. In the 13 years since, OONH, being the first hospitality brand in Mongolia focused on the wild territories outside from the capital, has built a solid reputation on the local as well as international market. In December 2016, two of our lodges, Sweet Gobi (Bayan Gobi) and Ursa Major (Orkhon Valley) were awarded the Best Tourists Camps in Mongolia by the Mongolian Tourism Association. The Golden Compass Awards have been introduced to elevate the professional standards in the constantly growing Mongolian tourism industry, and bring them closer to the international level. We are happy to lead the way in this endeavor, and honored to be in company of other awarded travel experts sharing the vision of high quality, responsible and internationally successful tourism sector in Mongolia. Our most recent bet? To bring together selected independent hotels located in areas with high tourism potential to share their experience, networks and resources, and grow together.
